Easter Sunday - He Lives, We Live!
The following poem, DAILY WORDS, was written by Myrtle Fillmore, and published in Wee Wisdom, in 1910:
Monday: If you want the good to grow, watch the little words you sow.
Tuesday: If you want life's blossoms rare, pull out thoughts that wear and tear.
Wednesday: Loving good is always brought into site through loving thought.
Thursday: If you want to meet a smile, take one with you all the while.
Friday: Kind and loving deeds attract, and like the echo, come right back.
Saturday: What we give, we surely get; love for love, and fret for fret.
Sunday: This sweet law, dear Lord, I know; I will reap the good I sow.

Thoughts on Compromises
by Rev. Joyce Kramer
June 8, 14, and 15 Unity Church of Tidewater will host a Flea Market onsite directly following the Sunday Worship Service. All proceeds will be for our Building Fund to continue the renovations and improvements to this incredible facility that houses the spirit of God and the teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore.
The Sounds of Joy will perform at Unity Church of Tidewater, Wednesday, May 28, at 7:30 pm. Admission is simply a love offering that will benefit the Unity Church of Tidewater Building Fund that is dedicated to the care-taking of our beautiful Church.
Also, if interested, new treasures have been added to our well attended Flea Market venture. These items and many more will available for purchase 30 minutes prior and after the evening's performance. Enjoy!
The Sounds of Joy
came together in 1993 as a Wednesday night "sing-along" group of about 10 people, and now boasts over 45 members. On average Sounds of Joy perform more than 30 times a year. They are available for public gatherings of any sort, meetings, conferences, conventions, parties, picnics, banquets, open houses, block parties, charitable or fund-raising events, retirement and rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and various special events. Some of their song selection themes include Classic Pop, Patriotic, Folk, Civil War, Broadway, and Inspirational music. If it's beautiful, nostalgic, funky, or can be hummed, they will sing it. Although they are not a "religious" group per say, they have always listened for the guidance of Spirit, and have been willing to say "Yes" to whatever new opportunities come their way. Their mission has always been to bring joy to those for whom they perform.
The Six Weeks of Lent will begin this week on Wednesday, March 5. Mark your calendars to attend the Ash Wednesday Service that evening at 7:30 pm. Each week following will be a Lent Class, held on Wednesday at 7:30. The class will be instructed by Patricia Holt. Sign up Sheets are in the office. The book used as a study guide The Week That Changed the World is available in the church book store.During the season leading up to Easter - Lent, we renew our hearts and minds by awakening our spiritual nature, releasing limiting beliefs and negativity, and giving strength to the Divine Presence within that His glory will be seen upon each individual. Easter honors the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Christ spirit within each of us. It is a mystical personal experience that first takes place in the human soul. To resurrect is to restore to life; bring into view again something that was lost or forgotten. It is the act of rising again from an inferior state to a higher or superior state. We look forward to seeing you at church in the upcoming weeks, and please be sure visit our website for related messages at www.unitychurchoftidewater.com

The New Year is bursting with promise. It stands before us with many gifts. In this dynamic inspirational message Reverend Joyce Kramer asks us all to remember the gift of God’s spirit that is within each of us; and, consider as a part of this gift the twelve spiritual qualities represented by the twelve disciples. Are you ready to let go of the past and step into your glorious future? May this message help you do just that, further your growth, and set you on the path to attract all that is good in life. Have a blessed 2014!
